I will ask the man who emailed me, but I know he lives in a different to you (if he's reading - please emial the details.) In any case, I would go to the council and see if such a scheme exists nearby where you can find a place with areasinable accredited landlord. Or go online, and explain your plight: some landlords might be reasonable and if you can do the heinous six months rent in advance (ie an interest free loan to the landlord, wrong, I know) then they be okay. Let me know what happens. Good luck.rentergirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04843401230037965757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2426994241466690932.post-76801796534660492602012-07-29T13:51:50.014-07:002012-07-29T13:51:50.014-07:00"I approached a landlord, who is in a partner..."I approached a landlord, who is in a partnership with a group of well known solicitors in my area.."

Are you able to elaborate at all there Penny? I just lost my job (I was on contract, but now "not enough work"; we're utterly disposable) and have only one month left in my current subletted room.

I can't get any housing benefit as I have savings, but if I can get help from private landlords somehow, well, that could help me start sleeping again.

This is all starting to take its toll on me now, and I am very worried for my health.
